Most of us take a glance at nature, and see it as nothing more than a beautiful landscape. We "dig" no deeper than that. There is so much we could take from this little story. Some forms of love, for example, cannot be seen. Some forms of love are distant. The rhyming scheme was great! I didn't look for it--I heard it as I read. >>I hate it when all I hear in other poems are those single rhyming words. It takes away from the over-all feeling, but it did not happen here.
As for anything critical, you could have made this a little more "flowery" by throwing in a little more scenery, but truthfully, it doesn't matter. (I just like to throw in something you could use for improvement later on.)
I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I look forward to more! Have a great day.
