Wishing on a star, however far away it might be

As far as the eye can see

Jack Ivey

 

Off in the distance tonight

A moon in the heavens does glow

I smile in happy delight

At beauty that I’ve come to know

 

Stars that do twinkle afar

Diamonds illumine the sky

Making a wish on that star

Glistening soft in my eye

 

Miles and miles uncharted

Shinning as bright as can be

Now my adventure has started

As far as the eye can see

I like this, Jack. Since I was small, I used to wish on a star. I like to watch the brightest one and I promised to myself, in my own little way, I could be like it with my own brightness.
