So rich and flowing, filled with images of a quiet but imaginative man desperatly in love. Beautiful words as always Jack. You know my favorite poet has always been Poe. Not just for his work, but for his story. He had a deeply romantic side. Men who can write about romance like this...they've got something...keep writing my friend...you've got something.

There was a time in my life that I felt I was Poe, reincarnated. I glanced in the mirror one morning and it was his face I saw staring back at me...not mine, but then I started thinking, maybe it was mine.

But its a truly beautiful moment when we realize we aren't actually them. We are on our own journey, in our own time, even though at times it may feel our hearts beat as one.
True love here! The woman (en) that inspired this is (are) cherished. Beautiful! One thing, though. Not fair making me drag the dictionary out! I learned some new words today! Ha! Angi

Better keep that dictionary close by, you never know what I may come up with. Thanks so much Angi.
This certainly is a love poem! This piece not only has wonderful flow, but the nature imagery was masterfully woven. Kudos on the use of the words psithuric and petrichor - not exactly words you see every day!

yes, this is beautiful and lyrical and seems so effortless...it is a love song and a psalm and a prayer all wrapped up in one poetic spill.

What do I think? Well a brilliant title for starters, I didn't even need to read the poem really, it has a Shakespearean feel to it. Secondly the whole thing has a classic feel, speaking of gentle, peaceful love. Libraried Jack libraried so I can read it again.

If you had given me this and not told me who the author was, I would have thought it to be one of the great epics of bygone days. My goodness! You are trying to kill me! I know it! I have never seen a person die of amazement or joy, but I will certainly be the first if you keep going at this rate.
I was stuck to this poem and could not take my eyes off, it flowed so well that it would certainly have been a crime to stop reading and break the rhythm, and I love the rhymes, they give poems an extra sweetness, and more so in this as they fit in, as if you had just sat down to write, not intending to rhyme at all, and only when you looked back at it, you realised the poem rhymed, in fact, if you told me that I may have trouble refusing to accept that :D
The theme touched me, I think this is one of your first poems to not just awe me, but also stimulate some kind of personal response, after all, we have all experienced some level of love, one of my favourite parts by far (not my only favourite part though, it's impossible to choose one or two verses in such a beautiful construction) was, "My only dream is that you love me true/Just as my dreams have foretold" ah! the predicament of every lovesick soul, the plight of every lovers heart, just to have that confirmation, that one word of acceptance or rejection which would decide the fate of your world, of the very stars and the heavens.

what love comes with these words...willows are amazing so my mind pictures are vividly beautiful...tiresome journey, yes but worth it
it seems so ...whispering dreams evermore shall come true
