Ground-Zero
Chapter 1: Quickly

John sprinted down the marble hallway. The lights flashing red as a loud alarm blared. "100 meters down this hallway, then twenty down the next." John thought to himself. As John continued down the hallway he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small steal ball. He pushed a small green button on the top of it. The ball began to pulse a neon blue and a small display screen appeared, counting down from thirty. John made a right at the end of the hallway and stopped infant of a large steel reinforced door. John heard angry shouts echoing behind him. "I have about 15 seconds before I am surrounded by guards and killed." He thought. Luckily John only needed 10. He threw the small ball onto the door and took 10 steps back. Suddenly a huge fiery blast appeared on the door. John turned away as he felt the heat surrounding him.

Chapter 2: Escape

After five seconds the heat vanished and John turned around to face the door. Except now there no door, only a huge hole in the wall. John didn't hesitate, he sprinted out the opening and onto the soft, damp grass with morning dew still hovering over it. The sun was just begging to peak over the horizon, warming the air. John quickly reached his top speed and cruised across the field. At he end of a field there was a tall barbered wire fence standing a good 8 ft from the ground. John didn't slow down. He lept, clearing the fence. John landed and stopped. He heard an engine getting closer. John turned to his right and saw a small, red Jeep speeding toward him. It came to a screeching stop, about  2 ft from hitting john.

"Do you have it?" The driver asked.
"I have it." John said as he hopped into the passenger seat.

Chapter 3: Work

When John awoke the Jeep had stopped moving and was parked in front of a three story cement building. The driver was no where to be found. John stepped out of the Jeep and walked to the building. At the door John placed his hand on the handle. After three seconds he heard a click and pushed the door open. John entered into an empty hallway with grey walls and a dark grey carpet. At the end of the hallway there was an elevator. John got into the elevator and pushed the button for the third floor. When the doors opened John walked into a large room filled with doors and people. He began the walk through the room and to a walled in office, with its window shades down. He knocked on the door and waited.

Chapter: Boss

"Come in." a dry voice called out from behind the door.

John walked into the office and sat down on a brown leather chair facing the man behind the desk.

"How did it go." The man asked, not really caring.

"I have the package." John replied

"Good."

John placed a small plastic container on the desk. The man still had not looked up from his computer.

"Is that all?" John asked, annoyed.

The man still did not respond and John excused himself from the room. He made his way to a cubicle with Number 1 written on a little stamp. Inside there was a desk, a chair and a computer. John sat down in the chair. He allowed himself a five second break before turing on his computer. After that John began his report.

AGENT: Number 1

Date: July 11, 2060

Mission: Green Lantern

Accomplished: Yes

Report: Classified

John then shut off his computer and opened up a steel safe underneath his desk. He then put his spotless Glock and IDWHATCH in. Re-locking the safe after closing it. This was Johns life now, he was an agent for Ground-Zero.
