Waiting to ThawA Poem by Mr. CIt snowed the other day and it doesn’t normally snow here.
The coldest days blew in with the winter winds.
A biting chill, so harsh and so sudden. Life seemed to slow to a stop, frozen in place not knowing when the sun would shine again. It’s absence is jarring, yearning for the warmth that was once so familiar life without it does not seem possible. The leaves have fallen. The trees now bare. But amidst what feels to be sullen times, the clouds take notice. Loosening their grip on the skies, allowing the sun to peak through to bring hope that life will one day return. © 2022 Mr. CReviews
