To willingly share our pains and victories with another, via the medium of poetry, benefits the writer two ways: She may just help out a person in a similar situation to find, if not an answer, at least a road to clarity, and, she has made of her pen and paper, or her keyboard, a surrogate best friend, one with whom she can weep, laugh, exult or just complain when the fleshy one is absent. There is no better way to heal a wound than to open it and let the infection out. Poetry can be that scalpel. Good job, sweetie!
(P.S.: I just did something really dumb! After reading your reply to my review, I went back to the review to see what I had written. I saw it printed on your page TWICE, so I decided I'd erase one of them. I'd failed to notice that one was "My Review" and the other was the "Featured Review"...SO THEY BOTH WENT AWAY!! I recreated it as best I could. It's not exact, but, well...Another lesson in Acting Rashly, I guess!)
really wonderfully written anita, the way inspiration drives desire, such passion has uplifting effect,
what I enjoyed most, the crisp, clean, refined wording, its lively and picturesque, loved it
Dear Anita!
How very true! There is a treasure that is hidden in each of us - some are jewels of great worth, some are those gained by pride, and others by greed.......it is those that are hidden as acts done without expectation of thanks, of a kind heart, of a compassionate spirit that glow brightest among the treasure!
Very nice description!!
I'm just a novice in poetry. English is my second language, I was born and educated in France. My paintings are on the back burner for the moment. I love this site and enjoy writing (If I can call it .. more..
