Grief

Grief

A Poem by Anita B Jacques
"

I still have the memories

"

Can a human die from just wishing
looking alive, but not be.
possible, maybe.
A dull feeling for life

My senses are lost and disconnected.

One by one.
How many more
love ones will I loose.

At this moment,
emotionless would be welcome.

No, it cannot be.
Death couldn't be closer to me.

Into love and grief I dive.
knowing sadness and pain,
will torment my soul.

Emotions are kept alive.

Keeping my departed love ones'
close to my heart.
I still have the memories.

Can really relate to this one Anita...this is what starting me writing in the first place. God in his wisdom, gave us the incentive and talent, to put our thoughts into writing to help assuage our grief, instead of bearing it internally. In turn...after some time...we are able to recognize that perhaps in verbalizing our own heartbreak and moving on, we are able to comfort others going through the same emotions, that this too will pass.

We never forget...but we are able to deal with it, showing others that there IS life after death!

Lovely poem Anita...we have a lot in common!

Losing those that were close to us is so difficult. I relate to the feelings of loss you felt with losing your brother, having lost three of the closest people to me...It does leave one feeling lost and numb. I am sorry for your loss, Anita. Hugs, Carole

Dearest Annie!
It does seem at times as if our world is just ripped away from us! How much do we have to lose, to endure, and keep on with the thought of another loss near at hand! It is so very painful........but, we know our Lord is with us through it all!
God bless you!
