A Special Spring Day

A Special Spring Day

A Poem by Anita B Jacques
"

As a child I remember a wonderful Spring day. Similar to this poem

"

Walking along the river
ripples dancing gently on the water.
with God alone for company,
I'm blissfully happy.

Warm and perfect is the day.

I lay in a bed of sweet smelling grass.
I'm overcome by

 it's sweet perfume.
I close my eyes,
breathing the magic brew.

 Listening to the birds
 singing to their Maker.

 By the river, I sleep
 dreaming of Earth and Paradise.

In the warm bed of grass,
I am Home.

Truly impressive, Anita! The gentle lilt of the lines flowing effortlessly into one another evokes images of gentle breezes and wafting stems, awaiting only a child's pure heart to esteem them as they deserve!

Wow, this is beautiful. Unfortunately my childhood never allowed for such wonders. That jsut makes it so much more beautiful to read.

Great job! Really made me feel like I was out there on "a special spring day". :)

pretty and sweet.
but you see: you 've seen magic - by feeling first, then you wrap it into words and bring on paper - for us.
