finality

finality

A Poem by jordanavery
"

final breaths only deflect death

"
coveted darkness
an experience only so coveted before last breath
frozen waterfalls lay
present but still

relative calm blankets
darkened souls and clouded minds
a broken heart is softened only
by others broken around it

a desperate grab at finality
but who will be there to catch you
when silent tear falls
onto the casket of too far gone

a butterfly lost from an unexpected drift
shattered wing and flight
but flight is relative
so it flies

broken bells ring upon the surge of silence
the reverent crowd screams out
never again
but it has been spoken by God himself
