the weight of taken breath

the weight of taken breath

A Poem by jordanavery
"

to jared- it was not your time, but time is relative. see you soon.

"

no scream

ever sounded so loud as my own

9:03

and you were gone

and as the sun decided i was the exception to the light

and hell grabbed me in an unwanted embrace

i found myself fighting upstream, amongst others

and the mountains we had once climbed

now trembled

the songs we once held close

now tortured my wasting mind

because cigarettes

and empty beer bottles were not your end

no,

this was not the end that had been written for you

but i don’t write the rules

and i guess neither do you

this is so sorrowful, inspired by such pain and frustration that follows losing someone that meant so much

thank you so much; you totally got what I was trying to portray.
really good poem :) I like the ending, it says there are no rules to writing. also says that poisons can't hurt you and that you can live forever
