Ice Cold

Ice Cold

A Poem by J Shinoda
"

This is a poetry dedicated to a former love who was once warm as the sun, but later became as cold as ice.

"
Charming,
overly-affectionate and gentle.

That's how cold you are.

Your emotions may be as
warm as the summer sun
but your heart is just as cold as winter.

That's because you don't know how a woman feels.
You never dared to know.
You never tried to understand.

An honest woman's heart is
as fragile as glass.
That when you put too much
heat, it breaks.
And when you store in a
freezing room it shatters.

You're like a puzzle
filled with the missing pieces
A color that's neither black or white
A picture that cannot be defined.

That's just who you are.

Why can't you be natural and kind
Put a barrier between the spaces
Act like how a friend should be
And stop fooling my heart

That's because my innocence
tend to believe
the warmth of your eyes

That seems to be LOVE
but is just a hopeless dream.

You have a very intense and complex mind, and that is a very good thing indeed. In fact, it's amazing! I come to writerscafe to see authors as good as you, and I've seen so many people with their own special writing style, and I really do love yours a lottt!
Thank you for sharing, (ps help yourself to reviewing my work hah :P)

I love how your sweetness of the first couplet contrasts with the next line: "that's how cold you are". I can feel the conflict the speaker has towards this person because coldness throughout the poem is forgotten by the speaker's "innocence" that "believes the warmth" in his eyes. It's a bitter sweet ending because it seems like she knows the type of person he is, and yet it's like she accepts him.

I agree with your words and thoughts.

In the Native American belief. Woman are the teachers of love, respect and honor. She who give birth, know real and forever love." Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

The warm-hearted gaze of the woman seeing the cold-calculated nature beneath the Prince Charming.

These are very perceptive lines:

Your emotions may be as
warm as the summer sun
but your heart is just as cold as winter.

Love can hurt . All what was nice turn to ugly side. Be lonely when all went wrong. Season of pain can be very hard. Your words catch what I feelt. When my love was broken. Thank you .
