the mists

the mists

A Poem by silver threaded queen

they hang

from a set of iron tainted manacles

their silver glinting skin

incrusted with a layer of blood

their once glittering gem like eyes

forever gone

replaced with a pair of thorns

dark green

tipped with poison

their wings

covered

in iron powder

smoke slowly rises from them

the second the powder hits them

and everyone wonders

why they ran into the mists
