under the moonlightA Poem by silver threaded queen
if I was to go to the edge
of the darkest corner of the earth would you come with me if I was to sit on the edge were the earth ends would you sit with me if I was to stand to fell the wind on my face the small water droplets smelling of salt and cold air splashing ever so lightly against my skin to feel the power of the earth right here right now would you stand with me if I was to lay back to feel mother earths comfort slowly surround me the grass smelling new the earth smelling old, wise would you enjoy it with me if I was to dance under the moonlight feeling new recreated would you dance with me if I was to yell into the sky with sheer joy letting the stars know my happiness would you yell with me or would you stay on the ground cringed in fear of something new strange to you so stay in your corners I like to dance under the moonlight © 2010 silver threaded queen |
