you

you

A Poem by silver threaded queen

I hate how you control me
your words keep me on a leash
as if the only ones that can touch me
are the ones that can handle me
I will not speak
of the problems I have
but a very few can see it bubbling inside
you make me feel as if I do not deserve
the clothes on my back
or the air I breath
or the people that love me
you make me rebel
against all that I once loved
so know I hate it all
I enjoy nothing
I just sit there
and stare at the blank walls
they all know that something is wrong
they whisper behind closed doors
thinking I cannot hear them
but I can
I hear ever word they say about YOU to.
they blame you more than they do me
they blame you for all of it

A plaintive cry. A cry for release. Sometimes you need to take the first step and open tge closed doors they are talking behind.
