Somebody

Somebody

A Poem by J.Keyes

Somebody stop me

Somebody help my guilt disappear

So I can live my life

Stop the pain from suffocating me and making me suffer

Heal my heavy heart so I can breathe the freshness of life

Just take it all away

Because I can’t live with it anymore

My body is too weak to go on like this

And I’m tired of my fear weighing me down

My mind isn’t stable enough to handle the pressure anymore

Eventually, the past will catch up with me

And bring my injustice to light

No one will understand why I did what I did

Or how I let it happen

Someday I’ll recognize my mistake

I got to this point because of her

Yet I suffer alone

A soul that asks not to suffer alone. Albiet it is fascinating why humans need to drag others into misery, I cannot help but, for a small moment, sympasize. This was a good poem. It has nice flow, albeit it's rampant with colloquialism. It was good. My suggestion for improvement would be to watch your words and sentences. Grammer is important in poems too*
