The Journey

For all of my life all I’ve known is the journey

To always keep moving and never look back

A lonely life, it’s true

But you needn’t be taken aback

The road is all that I know

And all is as it should be

What I am is only right

I exist for a reason

Or at least that’s what I tell myself at night

The lines don't have a consistent metre. I wonder whether this would look and read better as a prose poem.

I actually wrote this while having 'At the End of the Day' from Les Miserables stuck in my head, I guess some of the tune must have unconsciously woven it's way in. Thaank you for reviewing.
