Destruction Awaits

Destruction Awaits

A Poem by EvilIsRelative

The city that never sleeps
Breath held, it’s destruction awaits
A silent darkness fallen
All staring at straining gates
Disaster is surely coming
And what can we do in the night?
No sound but the howling winds
Just try to hold on tight

The daylight brings the aftermath
The sunlight glittering and harsh
Everything was ripped apart
