I want to fade away I want to run and hide I have no words to tell you What I feel inside I wish I hadn’t done it I wish I hadn’t made you cry I’m sorry, but it’s over Now I have to say “Goodbye”
I am intrigued by this poem, as I almost get the feeling that this speaker is saying this after they have already been left by the person they are addressing. I imagine them, looking only at a memory of the person they've hurt, saying goodbye in order to feel that they are making a positive and useful decision, even though it is not useful.
