The girl who's lost will find her way

The girl who's lost will find her way

A Poem by A poet's heart
"

I wrote this about a friend a while ago...

"

Right now she’s lost in many ways,

Her heart and head a constant daze.

Her love was crudely tossed away,

And now her life’s begun to fray.

But with her comes a mind that’s strong,

Determination and her songs.

A courageous disposition,

A girl not scared of competition.

She’s got a smile that quickly spreads,

A confidence that turns girls heads,

A way with words that’s way too cool,

That girl can mind-read any fool.

And soon her rainy days will go,

And her cheeks will always glow,

And soon she’ll feel the butterflies,

As she looks in someone’s eyes.

That's so amazing, simple, to the point, structurally a jewel, with such a great deal with words, you tell her story, you make it clear to us that don't even know her and also you describe something we all felt at least once (making it highly relatable) without forgetting to describe her and that makes us remember you're talking about her ! Great job =D

I enjoyed how you kept a steady rhyme within the poem and it wasn't at all forceful. I also enjoyed how you managed to capture the mindset of a broken girl from the beginning that allows her to realize the beauty in the world with being strong and courageous. It also gives her the chance in the end to still be hopeful with love.
