New Moon

New Moon

A Poem by Syra

The sun sets ending day.
The sky darkens starting night.
In the sky the stars shine bright.
But there is no moon tonight.

To night the wolves are silent
For there is no moon to howl at.
But if you listen you can here the pat
of a group of paws across the ground.

Yet the owls are still hooting,
And the frogs, still croaking.
But the wolves stay very quiet
For tonight is the night of the new moon.

Very nice poem. The imagery is amazing and very vivid. I can hear the frogs and owls and wolves. Nice work.
