A Poem About LoveA Poem by Rhonda
I decided to write a poem about love.
I searched in candy, hearts, and chocolate…
But love was no where to be found.
I kissed, smiled, and reminisced…
But love was some how missing.
It began to snow,
And I thought “I hate snow…”
How can I write about love now?
Surrounded by things I hate.
Then he grabbed his snow boots, mittens, and coat.
At the age of two, he hasn't learned how to hate.
I laced up my shoes, put on my hat, and grumbled out the door.
He grabbed my hand,
Tilted his head back and laughed.
We stuck out our tongues and squeezed our eyes shut.
Soon it was time to go inside,
Have lunch and cuddle with a book.
As I started to make lunch
I looked out the kitchen window
And to my surprise
There was my love poem,
Written in the snow by two sets of footprints.
