It's an upside down world

It's an upside down world

A Poem by Bela

Our leaders are not the wisest
But the most cunning criminals.
They think their god has chosen them
And chosen us to suffer.
They do not understand the truths
They do not have the wisdom.
They lead us into their error ways
And gaslight those who know.
They let our food be poisoned,
Our air, & trash our only home
They let other monsters be the guardians
To the doors of escape from the abuse.
I'm tired trying to keep afloat -
Some say the only real escape
from the system, is insanity.

Author's Note

Bela
Lately I'm disappointed with how amateur my poems are. I don't spend a lot of time writing, just very randomly these days write a poem & it's super rare. But today I wanted to get the disappointment & against out. Also I usually don't spend much time editing. I write a poem in a few mins & I'm done. It probably shows, sorry. I fear I may never be more eloquent than I am.

About
Been writing poems on and off since I was 11 or 12. Dabbling a bit, many should never see the light of day, but in the past couple of years my poems are a little better. 99% of the time I do not feel.. more..
