Dancing mermaid

Dancing mermaid

A Poem by Bela
"

Wrote back in 09, when I couldn't sleep one night and needed to start a creative assignment. This poem started that.

"

Like a dancing mermaid,
How could she leave
Your beautiful turquoise waters?
She breathes you in
As you dance through her soul,
Your soothing whispers
Hushing the world to silence;
At night you seductively
Play with the moon;
Glistening with delight
Like a magical ballroom light;
She hears you my friend
Your words do not fall
Deaf on her ears;
She knows we’ve abused you
Raped you of your life,
Deeds cannot be undone
We can but cherish you more,
What would our lives
Be without you after all?

About
Been writing poems on and off since I was 11 or 12. Dabbling a bit, many should never see the light of day, but in the past couple of years my poems are a little better. 99% of the time I do not feel.. more..
