Frozen embraces

Frozen embraces

A Poem by Bela

If I could have frozen time

I would have.

Embraced in the blanket of our love

Our hearts entangled

Our limbs intertwined.

Pure love, bliss and radiance,

If only I could have stayed.

How could I explain?

To you or anyone

That it wasn’t my whole heart,

And were I to stay

My heart would long

To love entirely.

The fear of a love leave us wishing in old age. We stayed. I have a thousand poems for wishes of love lost.
"My heart would long
To love entirely."
Regret is a bear. Less painful with old age. I like the title and the tale in the poetry. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

About
Been writing poems on and off since I was 11 or 12. Dabbling a bit, many should never see the light of day, but in the past couple of years my poems are a little better. 99% of the time I do not feel.. more..
