Denial

Denial

A Poem by Bela

Don’t stare into that reflection any longer
Walk away- quick
Pretend you didn’t see it
Pretend you didn’t feel it
Go smoke some weed
Pop a pill, go on a binge
And get s**t faced,
Forget it, it doesn’t exist,
Buy a new car
Screw some people
And tell yourself
“Its all their fault!”
Get yourself in debt
Go on a diet,
Watch some bad tv,
Apathy feels better.
Back stab someone
Talk about how unjust this world is,
Eat some bad food,
Its all the same
You’re rotting anyway.

Author's Note

Bela
This was after a hippie guy in a store annoyed me, more like p*#&ed me off...as if weed solves everything and you can your your brain off and stop thinking...maybe works for some.

Youve got a lot of good points in this poem. Some people will be s**t bags and throw their life away. Ruin themselves, lose all common sense and become obnoxious.

About
Been writing poems on and off since I was 11 or 12. Dabbling a bit, many should never see the light of day, but in the past couple of years my poems are a little better. 99% of the time I do not feel.. more..
