Fool's PursuitA Poem by BelaThe path seemed so blurry Sometimes he wasn’t even sure it was a road Sometimes he wasn’t even sure he was moving The air felt stale, yet familiar and oddly comforting Sometimes almost gasping, wishing for some crisp breaths To enter his lungs Wishing to know, where it was he wanted to go Wishing to know, if this was real Or a dream world Where he had once turned left, And now he wasn’t sure where that left had been Wishing to know, if the moments of euphoria Where something worth trying to attain Or had he been wrong, entertaining That which only fools pursued © 2012 BelaAuthor's Note
