Perfect Girl

Perfect Girl

A Poem by coma black☯

I wanna be perfect.
I wanna be the type of perfect
that you see in magazines and on the TV.
I wanna look like her-
the girl in the red dress,
with the long black hair,
and the slender lean legs.

I wanna burn off all of my scars,
cover up all of the flaws,
and take away the pain.

I just wanna be perfect.
With a perfect life
and a perfect family.

I just wanna be perfect.
I wanna be perfect for you.

great poem! awesome flow and references. it sucks trying to be something that doesn't exist.

Meh, perfect is plastic and plastic is synthetic. The scars, the flaws, the blemishes all are what make you, you. You is the best thing that you can be. A thought-provoking piece. I liked that you added a specific direction at the end, to whoever the intended recipient of the sentiment is. This is a good revelation into a specific series of thoughts.

You are already perfect
To the man who loves you
To even me.
They say nobody is perfect
But they are dead wrong.
The man who loves you/or will
and even me
We all know you are the perfect girl

this is an honest treatise that most of us woman aspire to. we want to be accepted by everone else but we sometimes have a condition called body dysmorphia, a sympton of anorexia...but to be what perfect means to us is not their concern, it is our own concern. we want to be the 'it' girl. this was a nice piece of writing.
