I Wish

I wish that for once I could be okay.

I wish that for once I could smile.

I wish that for once I wouldn't have to be the parent.

I wish I could tell you how I feel.

I want all of this sadness to go away,

for it to be sucked out of me.

I just want to be a happy person.

I wanna be the happy person that everyone else wants to be.

I wanna be the best I can be.

I wanna grow up and move out of this town.

But for now I am glued here to the ground. 

I wish I could feel like a human being again.
