Come to Me

Come to Me

A Poem by ivy thornhill

I see a figure,
beckoning me to come.
The closer I step,
the further I fall"
piece by piece, I fade away.

And when I see him,
I know his name.
Death.

I whisper,
"Take me in your cold embrace,
erase my name without a trace.
For I am already gone,
a hollow shell,
a soul undone."

Come to me,
ease my pain,
take away the endless rain.
I don’t want to walk this road,
a life of sorrow, heavy load.

Each breath I take, it feels so hollow,
empty days and darker tomorrows.
If this is life, a cruel design,
then why must I keep calling it mine?

Yet… in the silence, a whisper stays,
a voice that fights to see more days.
Maybe pain won’t always last,
maybe I’m more than just my past.

But still, the weight is hard to bear…
Does anyone even care?

I care, and so do others, I know they do, but they hide, or we scare them away. God loves you, this is a great poem it was sad but sadly I can relate. Stay strong. And when you can no more, don't guilt yourself for slipping away. With love, dan
