Escape to JailA Poem by IvorPoet's Ramblings!
Got to write a poem
I've not done one for a while. I'll try to keep lighthearted just to help you all to smile. To talk about some nonsense, something funny or just fun, it's only when it's finished I will know what I have done. Now here's a little story that I heard the other day about a man who had no money and he couldn't pay his way. He found himself a copper, not the type that you can spend, then he told him he had murdered his one and only friend. They locked him up quite quicky as they tried to check his tale but they gave him food and water while he waited in the jail. When they found he had been lying just to get a bed and food they really wasn't nice to him, and in fact were very rude. The charged him with obstruction of the police and he was found to be guilty by the magistrate, he did not muck around. He sentenced him to six months in a prison he must stay, where he had a bed to sleep on and three good meals a day. So if ever you're in trouble and cannot pay your way just find a friendly copper to find you a place to stay. I hope you liked my story now my poetry is done, it's my way to spend a little time and have a bit of fun! Ivor G Davies © 2018 Ivor |
