Empty Pocket MelodyA Poem by ivizarxFroth of warm brew, sipped between the lips
Sipped slowly, drenching throat And comforting body of it's permeating intent Long inhale, stimulating ease of a drag From the strong kick of a malboro cigarette Set perfectly somewhere between the pointer and middle finger of my hand Mind in tangles Now unwinding No thinking about empty pockets Whose laden with the company of grime and lint Head, now breathing 'long with a pace of my heart's steady beat Cold winter grip squeezes my lungs, with every breath in seek of defeat But still no worries as of yet Even with a mind untangling There ain't one single regret Not one felt Exiting bulky door, of the corner cafe Bleak canvas, image of the dire grey Landscape focus on the overcoat soul The man's humble role, finding his own way No possession for home Embracing thoughts Street talk Stone walls City walk Skies filled with calm storms No matter the weather however, Cause regrets wherever, whenever Are best left behind, all for better © 2011 ivizarxAuthor's Note
