Here, Just Nowhere

Here, Just Nowhere

A Poem by ivizarx

Smoke my cigarette
Let it devour the air
Let its colors, overrun
Its beneath me to care
Seems to me both rightful
And never ever wrong
For freedom is my word
My heart's forsaken one
I feel it in my bones
Swimming amongst the shore
I feel it like a cold
Climbing amongst your core
Somewhat both trite
Yet somewhat fitting fine
To a situation in
Where your mind
Is left there, nowhere, somewhere in time

The video wouldn't load because my Internet is being slow and stupid, so I'm not sure how well it compliments the rest of the piece, but the poem proper was quite nice and enjoyable. It seems to be suspended halfway between apathy and emotion, and I like it quite a lot.

This manages to avoid nihilism and instead is an introspective marvel. Liked it!

One of the great things about poetry is many people can make their inferences and interpretations of what the message contains within a poem or what it is about ^_^
That's one thing I love about poetry

However, this poem is actually is a scenery shot... It's about finding yourself not having a care in the world and having one of those moments where you just lose yourself in. :p
Thinking maybe this ice breaker will help people understand it a little better, it is quite vague to be honest ;)

@Coyote: ya, i'm pretty sure the man found his freedom, specially after his motocycle incident.. Of course, I figured it was something he always had, the reason he was so diverse and so talented, because he let his freedom run wild alongside his imagination as he drawed influences from the world around him. That's the bob I think of atleast... ;)

This one I was impressed with the subtle voracity it seems to evoke in the "in between " spaces of the lines. You could draw many conclusions to this message in you piece but I took it as a freedom in all parts of one's life, damming the consequences as well. A good poem.

"For freedom is my word"
I knew freedom for a short time. Hanging with dreamers and writers/musicians on the coastline of Monterey. I dream to have my cold beer and a long conversation with people willing to hope and dream still. A strong ending to a excellent poem. Good music. Dylan sang of freedom. I wonder did he find it?
