Weeping Eyes Bleed A Love Lost Forever

Weeping Eyes Bleed A Love Lost Forever

A Poem by Stevo The POE-t

As I sit here under this weeping willow tree
Teardrops stained in death leak from my eyelids
Trembling hands remember the sound of your name

Somber sonnets ink decaying images inside the chalk outline
Wandering eyes gaze upon my aura in question
A simple soul that's lost its way

Memories flash fashionably throughout endless time in my mind
I can hear echo's of your kiss upon my neck when the wind whispers
My heart has been ripped from my chest with thorns shredding my vessels

Even then my blood flows for only you,
Sitting here under this weeping willow tree I imagine it's weeping
Weeping along with I in dismay that you were taken from me

I sit here abandoning all others in attempt to pour my heart on this blank page
Only using what's left of the love we had
A blood soaked poem of unconditional love we once shared

In the clouds above I am sure I can you smiling down
Telling me to wipe away the tears and cheer up
My life was stolen from me, and I can't find oxygen to breathe

Moonlight falls upon my weeping eyes as my shadow bids farewell
Another friend fallen before me,
My hands clench together in fright that I have forever lost your touch

Your love, your, smile, your touch, your heartbeat will be forever tattooed
Upon my skin where you shall remain until I perish into the night air
A tell-tale heart bleeds for the love that defined who it was

A casket causality concurs that this in fact is the end
Pendulums swing in the reflection of our eyes for one last kiss
Until we meet again I shall never...

I shall never love another
As I will love you
Forevermore

A poignant, emotional poem of love lost; a love that was so passionate, so intense, so everlasting; So difficult to recover the loss; tears keep coming , to express the pain; there will be no other loves, only this one. Beautifully written with immense warmth and pathos.
Thanks for sharing.
Best, B.

A tearful glance at emotion and all that it can evoke in the minds of us all, without trying to compound realness, well done, good read.

I love the depth of your emotion in this... You let the reader feel it, it's absolutely tangible and that is beautiful... And the Poe like quality is my favorite. I adore Poe. He is so epic and didn't give two craps what people thought of him. He just believed in his own work, in his own voice as a writer, and risked the public scrutiny of his own sanity to do so... ;)

My oh my! Darkly exquisite with expertly chosen language. Maybe I'm not THAT familiar with Poe and so missed what this is all about specifically...I still think it's fantastic, Stevo.
