To have the world
Taken right out
From under your feet

To make mistakes
Or change a life
One word at a time

I can see it in your eyes
Your falling fast
Let me guide you from the rocks

Cause under us
the waves below
Are angrier than
You could ever know
And I'd really hate
to see you drown

I have always loved to read
They're Treasures to me more precious
Than rubies and spaniard gold
lost in the deep of the sea

You're like
an old book
I never know where to
look

Your pages
Are stained and cracked
I flip one over
But I can't flip one back

But when I meet your eyes
That's the only place
There's no disguise
They're screaming how
the story ends
and you seem to forget
that violent delights
have violent ends

Books lost at sea
Don't have a recovery
the waves below
Are angrier than
You could ever know
And I'd really hate
to see you drown

Cause you are the treasure

I too am hard to read
