These are some ways I define a smile

These are some ways I define a smile

A Poem by Smiley Fry

A rainbow in a placid lake

The French-fry arches on a fast food sign

The sector of a slice of cake

The hunched spine of a snow-covered pine

A silver sliver of crescent moon

A playful dolphin trying to fly

The tail trailing notes in a joyful tune

The squint of a happy eye

A single wedge of Clementine

A small hill with a rounded top

A dangling fishing line

The palabra formed by a bunny’s hop

A perfect log split down the middle

A small child’s drawing of a hat

A curved bow touching an aging fiddle

A hug between neck and cravat

These are some ways I define a smile

Though by the end I was out of rhymes

Just remember once in a while

To look back and remember the old times…

… And muster up a smile
