Real

Real

A Poem by Mahoro Shimiro
"

what happens when i'm alone with my thoughts.

"

you’re not like all these people.

not at all.

they can scream and cry and yell and fight

but them, they would lose themselves without each other.

Not you though.

you could take a step back- hell, you could run away

from this all, yet you wouldn't change. This place didn't make you

like it made them.

You are not a product of your environment.

You’re something real, and it scares them.

Did you know that?

you’re something real.

We're all real, some are just more aware. That said, I understand the sentiment and you've written something that speaks to the notion very well. Thanks for being real, keep it up!
