Ghostly hands

Ghostly hands

A Poem by Dorothy in Wonderland.
"

I ask myself this a lot.

"

Look at your hand,

how many have held this and felt your touch.

How many lost wandering souls were guided by the simpleness of your skin,

do you know?

Would you ever take time out of your life to count...

Can you remember them all,

or are their names lost in the earth like the rain,

that washes their history away.

How many finger prints?

Where are they now and how many hands have they held?

What about that one person that only ever wants to be guided by your hand,

are they already holding it.

Or is the hand that you are both holding,

the hand that you will hurt?

While looking for the hand,

that is looking for yours?

Hi Dorothy / Pixie?
Have I read this before? Seems very familiar maybe one of your old ones? I don't know, maybe this just reflects my own thoughts so much... I guess what I'm trying to so badly say... is.. these words spoke to me and said in a way that resembles my own voice... the unknown... The lessons learnt, the search and reflection, but at least we offer our hand, yes? Because not to would be to negate nature’s call at it’s finest ;)
I really loved this poem, you got me thinking:)
thank you for sharing
