i am a doormat

i am a doormat

A Poem by itsjustme

i am a doormat
and you think nothing of me
i wipe off your dirt
but you wont know me
your hooves pound on my lip
and you don't take heed
i make it so you don't slip
but I'm nothing to this galloping steed

the hooves pounding
the dirt flying
landing on my face
burning my eyes

you rub it in
and you don't hear my cries
you don't notice your sin
but look, I'm covered in brown and black dyes!
i thought you were a hero
and so i had sold my soul
as it turns out your a zero
a zero with no goal

i felt water on my head
am i going to die?
no, your in the washer
and the cycle goes on, and on, and on
