Me

Me

A Poem by Jules
"

Response to a poetry challenge: use the phrase "she hides in mirrors."

"

She hides herself in mirrors, the one I wish to be

She disappears in glimmers

Glimpses only, not quite seen

She veils herself in dreamings

Redolent with the night

A promise of a secret

Always out of sight

No viscera, no worldly pain

No tangible desire

No problem, stuggle, worry, plight

Just calm and cool and vain

She lives beyond the other

Creating as she will

Existence but a dream of hers

Morphing at her whim

Yes, she hides in mirrors

That one I wish to be

I glimpse her in my slumber

Smooth and cold and me

Interesting poem. I liked how to explained your silhouette and how it doesn't feel human emotions. One would say it does as a reflection of your emotions but overall it was great.
