where it goes

where it goes

A Poem by Jules
"

Response to a poetry challenge; words to use: feelings, electricity, ignite, connection and expain

"

explained away
the feelings, the pain
under the rug
under the belly

hidden and stifled
the joy, the connection
muted and grey
electric inside

ignited and heightened
the rage and frustration
up front and center
coming unbidden

slovenly, sloppy
the thinking, the brain
acting from greed
self-centered and base

a moment in time
is all that is needed
get back, get away
center and breathe

This is very nice. I do notice a couple of misspellings, before I go into the body of my review: breathe, at the end; stifled, in the second stanza. Now, for the message, which is fairly clear, but does raise questions... which is what the best poems often do. I love the flow, the word choice, and the wonderful way you wove the given words into the piece. Nicely done.
