A Poem by Julia

I would never tell

How much I've written about you

Since it would not matter

But tonight is a particularly bad night

Because everytime the room

Gets really quiet

I swear

I can hear the sound of your laugh

That giddy outburst

The sound of happiness

And everytime I close my eyes

Even for a second

I see the way your nose crinkled

And it makes me sad

Because I don't remember the last time

I heard that laugh

Or saw those wrinkles

All I know now

Is that she's the one

Who keeps the smile on your face

The smile

That I could never put on

And so

I am writing this

Not for you

But for her

And if it was possible to keep my cheeks dry

I would go up

And thank her

For making you happy

You know, all along the love you find will ever transcend theirs. And I lover the space bar too!
