Gulf oil spill:
Undoubtedly, we have fallen victim to an environmental disaster. Hundreds of thousands of precious sea creatures and even birds have been lost to the oil spill in the gulf. No one can say for sure how long the oil from the damaged well pipe will gush into the sea, and poison the water, or more appropriately the home, of the millions of underwater sea life that inhabit the gulf, but one can say for certain that there are thousands of volunteers graciously donating there sweat and blood to the relief project. But the question remains, who could be responsible for the atrocity we face in Mexico? Mostly, we blame British Petroleum for their “blunder” but I for one not only blame them for their irresponsibility, I blame my self, I blame everyone in the room that im sitting in, in fact, I blame all of the united states for the now ever enlarging black spot that is the oil floating to the ocean surface. Why? Americans have the most luxurious life style of any other state, country or nation in the world. Most of us have our lives entirely dependent of obvious luxuries such as computers, game systems, that little navigation thing in your car that talks to you, GNC, I mean come on… it’s a proven fact that Americans have the most expensive URINE in the world due to all the money unnecessarily spent of nutritional supplements, health drinks etc. that simply pass through the body, and do you no good at all. Resultantly, Americans in general have forgotten the principal of what comes around goes around. If you over do the pesticide in your crops, then you are going to get tomatoes that taste like formaldehyde. Thus, if you carless about how you build your oil rig, then you are going to receive thousands of death threats a week when an oil pipe explodes. The attitude resulting from our situation as the richest country on record is going to get us in more trouble then we could imagine. When the Native Americans killed a buffalo, they gutted it and used every single part of it. Bones and all. The parts that couldn’t be used were burned as offering to the gods and spirits that they worshiped. If we go back to our roots, maybe we can pay enough attention to Mother Nature to avoid another environmental disaster like this one.
