Live Life (for Kristi)

My friend was diagnosed with cancer and I wrote this for her<3

Life does what it wants 
You think you know what to do 
And suddenly 
It throws a curve at you 
Just remember God is here 
Always with you, so you never have to fear 
No matter what your thrown  
Or the hand that your dealt 
Imagine the pain the Jesus felt  
Nails through his hands  
A spike through his feet 
But yet He would not admit defeat 
And neither should you 
He died for you too
So He could take your pain away 
Just give it all to Him 
And listen when I say 
That He'll get you through it 
You have friends and family all around
You feel so loved 
In your chest, you feel your heart pound 
Don't give up, never quit 
Life is a one time thing 
Don't let go of it 
Just give everything to God 
And keep life to the fullest  
Cause life has it own mind 
It does as it please 
Don't give up this life
Death won't win with ease 
Fight it 
Beat it 
You'll do it 
Cause you've got God on your side
And through all your trials He'll abide
His son conquered death 
It beat him not 
And if someone else is gonna do it 
I think it's you to take the slot

Hey shane! I managed to come across your page because you have a poem with the same title as mine:) Okay, so I love your message about God. I'm a Christian myself:) I see that you do have talent, I do get emotions from your work. Your work is very to the point and there is nothing wrong with that. However sometimes it is good to try some imagry and other literary devices; metaphors etc. Pay attention to structure because these things add to your poetry. Try different rhyming schemes ect. I would also advise you to read some poets. I love Robert Frost:) Good work
