EpilogueA Story by isiciaI read somewhere that people who have mental disorders like depression of some kind see the meaning of things differently and their point of view is very interesting.“Sometimes you have to let them go. In one way or another.” The girl paused. “You always have to let them go, whether you notice it or not. People you care about, people you love, your friends, lovers, parents, brothers and sisters. If the person is important you will notice and most likely it'll hurt. ” She looked out the window. It was late in the afternoon. People hurrying home after hard work to see their families, little kids shouting and older ones coming back from school with their heavy bags on their backs and endless blue sky embracing all of this. “Isn't it for the best? Letting go.” She smiled and looked back at the psychiatrist, her icy blue eyes looking directly at the woman's hazel ones. “Letting go is not always for the best, no matter what they say. It can…” She frowned slightly like she was looking for the right words as if something important depended on it. “It can make things worse… but it can also save people. Some people are hard to save. Well, not they. Their souls. Yes. Some souls are hard to save.” “Save from what?” “A lot of things.” “Like what?” She waited for an answer but the girl did not even glance at her, she sat completely motionless as if deeply considering something. She was about to ask her next question when the girl finally spoke. “Like losing hope. When you lose hope you start to understand things, and their meaning, and the meaning of words. You see everything you weren't able to see before and it is a torture because you know. “Did it save you?” “Yes and no.” “Why is that?” This time answer did not come. © 2013 isiciaAuthor's Note
