Truths from the former war

Truths from the former war

A Poem by isiah_holmes

The war is over!
The war is over
The war, its, Over

As the ground beneath troubled boy's
Quakes and trembles
Shivering like a babe waiting for a beating

As they sky began to part
As the troops all roared away from their frowning commanders
As all the lands creatures and spirits fled into the ground
The earth
I-you, the observer, remain suspended above them
Above the earth
Above the place accused of being man kinds birthplace

As he prepares to engage the enemy
As voices he called "Little monsters" ached him along
Possessions burned, bodies violated, what the young man has seen
What he has seen, what he has seen
What he has seen mocks the blissful thoughts of his lover
The one back home, the one who ill never understand
Will she leave him? Will she leave him?
She has left him, motherless, the mans knees got weak..
Falling to the ground, cracking like a statue
His face plane, We must seek the means to his end
We elect leaders who force this statue from humanity
Thrusted down the gullet of a beast
Entombed within its womb
Then born again as the child-like creation of a monster
Waiting for the war to be over
For it to be over!
When will this be over!
...This war is over
