In the company of lizards

In the company of lizards

A Poem by isiah_holmes

Cowarding beneath my mother's daughter
Locked away in this room
I remain here in the company of lizards
They watch me from beyond their looking glass
They grin in their eyes as I resent those around me

Laughing, chuckling, speaking back to me
In the company of lizards your bones will lay
Their dry space, no water, just sand
These wise creatures understand my suffering
They don't know love, they don't care
I don't care-they continue to stare

To be driven into the company of lizards
To be driven out of your home, once more
Actually, what is home? What dose that mean?
The poetic rumblings of a sociopath, the inner most voice
They scream, they know
The meaning of true, pure hate
They hope to show
