Dethroning the dog king

Dethroning the dog king

A Poem by isiah_holmes

The king dog's collar crown
Has fallen off today
He grew tired of these rusted wires, digging into his flesh
It itches, festered wound laying open in the sun
His son sleep's shamed

His name, his name, lost in the pouring rain
He searched in the hidden forest
Searching for a place to rest
His face, it look's so tired
His fang's crack, in fact they rot away
As he hides away from the day

His collar crown, he chewed it off today
It dropped gracefully to the ground, its golden beads
                   The cold, cruel gold
The pale face, masked with yellow fang's
It fell from the Dog King's neck, not at all to his regret

He is now free, free of the pressures
Free of the aches of his life, his servants
They crawl about, throughout his castle
The room's are all crowded, music filling dry air
There is a breeze kissing his face
There are scar's welded into his lover's flesh

There is a cost, something the King dog sacrificed
His power, influence, his becon he surrendered
Hi crown fell from his frail neck today
His bombs cracked, his fur festering with lice
Dont allow the kind king dog to be forgotten
   Return his crown to him
              He shall not ware it
He will hide it away in his pocket
The echo's of sin's past digging at his rough paw's
Each time he hold's his crown treasure
