Passing of the Phinox

Passing of the Phinox

A Poem by isiah_holmes

Follow me down, phionx bird

Ignore all that you have heard

Follow me, you will see

Crimson trees where you will be

Look to me, eturnal friend

A box of feathers you should send

Laugh at me, cruel instinct

Drown me in your kind mystique

Downed in the dirt, make it hurt

Fires rise, your demise

Shed a tear, make it clear

Your soul drifts, afraid of fear

I have known, i have felt

The snow you lay in starts to melt

What i felt, what you meant

Neive sins i won't repent

I cant repent

I won't repent

Help me repent

Love, robbed from  me

My friends have seen

This gentle bird turn to steam

Lay her down, draw a smile

To the clown, hide for a while

Trophy bird, turned to wood

Not if i could, but if i should

The phinox bird smiled up to the sky

Watched his friends fly right by

In the sun the bird will die

And im afraid my dear friend died today

Apologize if i may

What more should the sparrow say

The phinox bird died today

The crimson bird flew away

Telling me its ok
