The one who was there, watching

The one who was there, watching

A Poem by isiah_holmes

We have come across fresh innocence

The one child, the seeing one

The arbitary decison, a final choice

Deep in this yard of souls

We have found one who has seen the war

But did not allow it in

He watches from the wall, the simple stone

He watches on, looking down

Peernig down at the rebels and their hunters

These lost children, back up

Clawing at the wall, forcing themselves up

Tearing their nails, needing kind escape

He watches the war close, feeling the ora

The stench of the decaying zombie children

Wreched ships on distant lands

He is a noncombatant

Yet my new friend understands
