Innocent Addict

Innocent Addict

A Poem by isiah_holmes

The mass pollutant, posioner of the soul

The flesh, rotting

Black as coal

      Defiler of the soul

The mist came to me once

Coming deep from the intestine of the wood

The cold place, the wonderment of sin

The mist, the deadly weapon

Took the shape of a snake..the great serpent

The evil, the crulest instinctual form

The snake devoured a sack of sand and dust

      Bones..sacrifical bones..new kin

The serpent must sin!

The cruel beast vomited up a child

the transformation, the overtaking

From its womb the child was tainted

Forever bound

    Never to be found

Swimming alone, drowning in the snakes gut

She cuts the wings from the moth

Blindly burning itself on the flame

   The mothers shame..eturnal hate

Forsakes the fate of the young girl, innocently guilty

Why must this parasitic worm fester!

Feasting on the hopeful kindness!

This cruel creature! Destorying these beauties

The kind, hateful offspring

..NOOoooo..

Help these fickled echo screams die...

"Lost" cries the goose, the immigrent

The nomad, seperated from its flock

  Time tick tock

The eturnal clock eroding its youthful mind
